Oh glorious summer! The sun stays up so late these days...and I'm still trying to convince Mama to let me stay up too!
A few updates - I am completely potty trained now, even at night. It was super-duper easy thanks to the lack of other acceptable options for pooping. Mama completely threw out all diapers one day and announced that I was indeed a big boy who uses the potty like grown ups do. Then she bought me Thomas the Train undies. Now, I LOVE Thomas...and it is NOT OK to poop on Thomas. I also do not like cleaning floors or chairs...so, I really have no choice but to use the potty (though I like to "water the trees" occasionally whenever Grandpa's around. Mama also frowns on this practice because apparently I do not adequately distinguish when this is acceptable (in my backyard) versus unacceptable (in my front yard or at my friends' houses)). :-)
I also finally got a big boy toddler bed. My favorite part of this change is that I got to use the BIG SUCKER drill to unscrew the front wall of my crib.
We just celebrated a really nice Father's Day weekend. We spent Saturday in San Francisco with friends and I enjoyed playing on the beach. Sunday we had one of Mama's friends, Alex and his son Andrew over for brunch, so I got to show my new friend all of my toys. I helped Mama make a special sunshine cake for Dada. This is a special cake that Mama has made for Grandpa every birthday and Father's Day since she was a little girl, and my Dada likes the cake so much that he asked if it would be ok to continue the tradition for him!

Last weekend I got to go up to Tahoe with Mama, Dada, Gee & Grandpa. It is my absolute favorite place on Earth. I talked for the entire 3 hour drive up there about everything I was going to do: collecting pinecones, watching squirrels, jacuzzi time, sandcastles at the lake, and most importantly - turning fans off and on!
Little did I know that I would get to do even more than I imagined! I was surprised with a special fishing trip and caught my first fishies ever! I was a little nervous to hold the slimy things at first, but then I had no problem bonking them over the head.
In other news - I don't wear diapers anymore (except a little bit at night). Everyone is so proud of me...and I am just excited to collect stickers! The other day, at Oxbow Public Market, Mama and I went into the large multi-stall bathroom. I like to check the toilet all the time, and this time I loudly announced: "Mama went poo poo! So Proud!" I have no idea why she turned so red!
I continue to be a complete rascal, talking in full paragraphs, climbing walls, and generally keeping everyone on their toes. My favorite thing of all is fixing things...anything at all. There are a few photos/videos of me below helping Grandpa fix our sink!
