Santa Was Here!!

This was a good week to be Declan Hercules House. No school, play time with Mama and Dada all week, no naps, going to restaurants, extra cookies, and PRESENTS!

This post has perhaps a few too many photos, but Mama just couldn't pick which ones to include since I'm so gosh darn cute in all of them!

So, we start with a special trip that Dada and I made to Dean and Deluca to pick up some delicious items for Mama.  I picked out some truffles, special pine cone syrup, cherry preserves, pancake mix, and a 21 year aged Jamaican Rum (I may have had a little help on that one!)

Mama's best friend Analeah also came up for the weekend for a special visit
Mama and Dada's special wrapping session took place after I was asleep one night

Then came Christmas Eve.  We went up to Paradise Lane in Napa to look at all the Christmas lights.  My favorite was a snowflake/star that looked like a FAN, and the inflatable Mickey Mouse.

We then went to the FARM restaurant and had a delicious meal. I LOVE going to fancy restaurants, and this one was no exception. I had my sparkling Dada water with special pasta for dinner, while Mama and Dada had the 7 course tasting menu.  I got to watch a few Mickey Mouse episodes on the ipad while they finished dinner, an extra special treat!

Cheers!

Mama was so hungry she tried to eat my hand for dinner

And now time to go back home for our Christmas Eve traditions.  Reading Twas the Night Before Christmas, singing songs, and leaving cookies for Santa and carrots for the Reindeer.  (And LOTS and LOTS of photos)

After all that fun, I didn't get up until after 9am on Christmas, which was my own special Christmas gift to Mama and Dada.  Guess what??  Santa came!!

My favorite gift was my first stocking stuffer...a mini personal fan which also has a flash light.  Santa could have saved a lot of money on the rest of the stuff!

Tools to help in the garden

Dada got a Go Pro camera

And Mama got a robot vacuum cleaner...but I'll just keep my fans!
A marble tower from Granddad and Boppy
endless hours of entertainment for Dada (and me too!)

I got a huge map of the world to put stickers on the places I've been, and also to see where Dada is traveling
And my very own scooter! (Dada took this video in slo-motion)

Off we went to the park for a little Christmas Day exercise

And Mama and Dada had a not-so small Christmas dinner after I crashed into a deep slumber at 6:30pm

The next day, we went to Elk Grove to celebrate with Mama's family.  We stopped to see Great-Grammie first, and got our first picture with Baby Rinnah and me together!

Mama got Great-Grammie's silverware set from the 1940s, and I'm trying not to get my fingerprints all over it!
No Colton family Christmas would be complete without the annual treasure hunt
I'm blessed to be part of such a crazy family

After all that excitement, I'm curling up for my Christmas nap...

I get to spend the weekend with Gee and Grandpa while Mama and Dada have a special relaxing time without me.  They're going to need that rest since I'll be back in a few days to help celebrate New Year's!

Christmas is coming!

Christmas is coming and so is Santa. I've been waiting 360 days and it's finally here!  I picked out the perfect tree, after being convinced that the 15 foot one wouldn't quite fit in the living room. I concentrated 80% of our ornaments below the 3 foot line, but it's still a perfect tree.  I wasn't allowed on the roof, even though I asked perpetually, but I did help put the lights in the front yard and helped Dada hang the wreath.

My excitement to see Santa was short lived...

We also went to Tahoe for a week, and I got to perfect my skiing.  Santa brought me a new ski outfit and ski gear for an early Christmas present.

We are back in Napa now and waiting waiting for Santa.  I'll remember to turn off the fireplace before he comes!
